Return to the Ramp and Sudden Demise

Recently, Bal made a much-celebrated comeback at Lakme Fashion Week 2024. His final collection, Kaaynaat: A Bloom in the Universe, was displayed at Delhi’s Imperial Hotel on October 13, with actress Ananya Pandey as the show-stopper. A Style Inspired by the Beauty of Kashmir

Bal’s roots in Kashmir greatly influenced his designs, often incorporating motifs like roses and lotuses that paid homage to the region’s natural beauty. Having studied History at St. Stephen’s College, he initially worked in his brother’s export company before launching his own designer menswear line in 1990. In 2019, he shared that his design ethos was inspired by the unique flora of Kashmir, symbolizing his deep connection to the land.
